Welcome to Queensland Nepalese Cultural Centre (QNCC)

Welcome to the Queensland Nepalese Cultural Centre (QNCC), a not-for-profit, non-racial, and apolitical association devoted to celebrating and promoting the rich heritage of Nepalese culture in Queensland. Our goal is to foster goodwill, harmony, and well-being among the Nepalese community while strengthening the connection between Nepal and Australia.

At QNCC, we aim to establish a cultural hub that serves as a symbol of identity for the Nepalese community. This centre will be a place for cultural practices and a welcoming environment for the wider community. We are committed to preserving and promoting Nepalese traditions by creating cultural spaces, such as temples and gumba, where these practices can be celebrated and passed on to future generations.

We also strive to foster cooperation with like-minded organizations in Australia and Nepal, supporting multiculturalism and upholding Australian values. Our initiatives include organizing cultural events and programs that cater to the interests and needs of the Nepalese community and beyond.

As a registered incorporated association with the Queensland Government’s Office of Fair Trading, we operate with transparency and integrity, adhering to the guidelines set out in our constitution. Through our collective efforts, we aim to build a strong, inclusive community where heritage, friendship, and diversity flourish.

Join us in celebrating Nepalese culture and strengthening the ties between Nepal and Australia. Together, we can create a vibrant, harmonious community where tradition and diversity are cherished.

Building plan

We are planning to reach all Nepali families who reside in Queensland in order to grow our membership base. To do this we will use promotional methods such as one-to-one communication, community events, seminars, and social media as much as we can. At this stage our main focus is on fundraising until we achieve our initial estimation which should be enough to acquire land.

In parallel, our team will also finalise the initial project proposal, in consultation with its stakeholders. As mentioned earlier this is a huge and ambitious project so we are expecting full support from our community members to fulfil our dream. Our plan is to work phase wise
