Cancellation of “Ramailo Teej 2026”

With a heavy heart, we write to share some deeply sad news.

In light of the devastating floods that have struck Nepal and the grief that continues to ripple through our community in the days that follow, we have made the difficult decision to cancel both the Ramailo Teej 2026 program scheduled for 12 September and the Teej Puja on 14 September 2026.

This was not a decision made lightly. It was made with profound sadness, in respect of the current situation, and in keeping with the wishes and sentiments of our community. At a time when so many of our loved ones are suffering, it did not feel right to celebrate. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause, and we thank you for your understanding.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the people, families and communities affected by this disaster in Nepal. May they find strength, safety and comfort in the days ahead.

Regarding Tickets and Refunds

We have a refund process in place and will be contacting all ticket holders individually by email shortly. We will also be reaching out to our sponsors separately. Please keep an eye on your inbox.

Ticket holders are welcome to choose any one of the following options, entirely at your discretion, and we will respect whichever you choose:

– Full refund of your ticket payment; or

– Retain as credit toward a future event (details to be confirmed in due course); or

– Donate your ticket amount to Emergency Relief Fund for flood victims in Nepal.

We wish to sincerely thank our supporting organisations – NRNA Australia Women Forum, QLD, NRNA Queensland Australia and NAQ – Nepalese Association of Queensland Inc. – for all the support and collaboration during the planning of this event.

We also wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our guest artists, Rachana Rimal and Deepika Bayambu, for their gracious willingness to perform. We are truly sorry that circumstances have prevented us from hosting you on this occasion, and we very much hope to welcome you to our stage at a future event.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding and continued support during this difficult time. Let us remain united, and keep all those affected in our thoughts and prayers.
