Queensland Nepalese Cultural Centre (QNCC) is a not-for-profit incorporated association registered with the Queensland Government’s Office of Fair Trading. Based in Brisbane, we are working towards establishing a dedicated Nepalese Cultural Centre in Queensland.
QNCC represents Nepalese communities across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, Logan, Redland, Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, and surrounding areas. We are a non-racial and apolitical organisation committed to celebrating and promoting the rich heritage of Nepalese culture in Queensland.
Our purpose is to foster goodwill, harmony, and well-being within the Nepalese community, while strengthening cultural connections between Nepal and Australia.
Our Vision
- We envision a vibrant cultural hub that serves as a symbol of identity, belonging, and pride for the Nepalese community, while also being welcoming and accessible to the wider community.
- Build partnerships with like-minded organisations in Australia and Nepal to support multiculturalism and shared community values.
What we aim to do
At QNCC, we are committed to preserving and passing on Nepalese traditions to future generations. To support this, we aim to:
- Establish cultural spaces and facilities that enable community gatherings, learning, and celebration
- Support and promote cultural and religious practices, including spaces such as temples and buddha stupa
- Organise cultural events, festivals, and programs that reflect the needs and interests of the community
- Build partnerships with like-minded organisations in Australia and Nepal to support multiculturalism and shared community values
Our commitment
As a registered incorporated association, we operate with transparency and integrity, guided by our constitution and the governance requirements of the Office of Fair Trading. Through collective effort and community participation, we strive to build a strong and inclusive Queensland community where heritage, friendship, and diversity can flourish.
